Rabbi John Linder of Temple Solel spoke at the July 2 Phoenix Zoning Hearing on behalf of VIP in support of creating a Asylum Seeker Welcome Center in Phoenix.

This much-needed center stemmed from the work of a coalition of partners looking at best practices for working with asylum seekers and is sponsored by the International Rescue Committee.  Rabbi Linder's words highlighted the cooperation of many partners in creating a humanitarian welcome for these people who have endured much hardship in their journey.

VIP were in attendance to show support for the project and the efforts of this coalition.
