Join VIP Leaders and key allies from across the Valley to launch the 2026 Sign Up, Take Charge election strategy.
This day-long retreat will focus on key races across Maricopa County, analyze what it will take to have a real impact on those elections, and teach the skills for local organizing that can deliver those results.
What is Sign Up, Take Charge? - In June, VIP Delegates ratified a Valley-wide Human Dignity Agenda that grew out of thousands of conversations across our communities and lays out a commitment to fight for investment in workforce development, immigration reform, neighborhood infrastructure and safety, healthcare access, and affordable housing and support for the unhoused. Sign Up, Take Charge is an election strategy designed to engage 6,000 voters across Maricopa County and turn them out to the polls in the fall as a single organized and disciplined constituency in support of this nonpartisan agenda for change.
This retreat will focus on training three key elements of that strategy
-
Voter Engagement: Wide-spread canvassing and voter outreach based in our institutions, the neighborhoods they belong to, and key swing districts around VIP's Human Dignity Agenda.
-
Candidate Commitments and Public Action: A VIP Human Dignity Assembly on October 8th aimed at obtaining public commitments from candidates and other public officials to support the VIP Agenda.
-
Get Out the Vote: Follow-up with those who committed to vote, explanations of the commitments made by candidates, and next steps to continue organizing for local power.
