Tempe City Council Candidate Housing Accountability Session

Tuesday, April 28, 7pm @ St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church

WHAT THIS IS NOT ~ a candidate campaign event, a debate among the candidates, or a gathering grounded in an adversarial approach.

WHAT THIS IS ~ a time for Tempe residents and faith community members to come together to hold the candidates' accountable to the specific issues and "asks" most impacting our families across the City around housing. The goal is to gain a clear understanding of where candidates stand on the issues that have been surfaced through hundreds of face to face conversations and organizing done across the City as we cast our ballots in May 9th's Runoff Election!

During the session, we will: 

1) facilitate the session by framing the issues and unmet needs facing unsheltered people, those at risk for becoming unsheltered and those engaged in ministries to meet the needs in Tempe

and 

2) present the specific “asks” of the faith communities about these issues/needs with the intent to secure each candidate’s Yes or NO position about the "asks."
