Arizona’s Stay-at-Home order is set to expire on April 30. Join Clergy and Leaders from across Arizona and sign the Arizona Interfaith Network petition urging Governor Ducey to extend the Stay-at-Home order.

When Governor Ducey issued the "Stay Home, Stay Healthy, State Connected" order on March 30, there were 1157 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Arizona. On April 26, that has grown to over 6,500 confirmed cases and, tragically, 275 deaths. The Stay-at-Home order has helped to slow the spread of Covid-19, but the nature and extent of the virus spread still remains highly unknown. Arizona, like much of the nation, lacks the testing capacity to understand how to contain a major outbreak. Despite this, the state is being heavily pressured to re-open the economy.

Most health officials and expert epidemiologists are voicing concern that a premature withdrawal of the order will result in a much stronger recurrence of the virus this summer. This will endanger even more lives. |
